Expand Networks Cited as a Leader by Independent Research Firm in Latest WAN Optimization Market Report


Roseland, NJ. – 10th Nov 2009 – Expand Networks www.expand.com, a leader in optimizing WANs for branch office consolidation and virtualization, today announced that leading independent research firm, Forrester Research Inc., has cited Expand as a ‘Leader’ in its latest research report ‘The Forrester Wave™: WAN Optimization, Q4 2009’.  The report, authored by Chris Silva, was published on 10th November 2009 and rates vendors based on current product offering, strategy and market presence.

Expand Networks was positioned amongst the highest scoring vendors across the three evaluation criteria to be named a ‘Leader’ in the overall result. Expand Networks earned the highest scores for management and usability, as well as architecture. With a total configuration time of 66 seconds, Expand tied with another leading vendor for appliance deployment time.

According to the report, ‘Expand offers excellent support for virtualized environments and nontraditional deployment scenarios such as those dependant on satellite-based WAN links. The vendor has pursued multiple device provider partnerships in the satellite space.
